Exams
We have a steady ladder of exams, starting with very informal Posy Examinations for the 3-6year olds where the teacher is present with the children. The Posies then lead into Grade work, these exams develop the children’s vocabulary of steps and gives them a sense of achievement.
POSIES -. The posy awards are for the younger children age’s 3-6years approximately. For this award they perform in a “group” one of their class dances, in full uniform. The teacher is present and guides them through there award.
We have 6 Posies which can be achieved, and a Posy Garland award which is a shield upon which all 6 posy badges can be hung and displayed. It is your choice when you take the Garland some like to start with the garland and then the posies, and others like to do the Garland last. These tests are ideally suited for young children and are good experience for them. From the Posy examinations they move onto grade work, this is where they show numerous exercises and a dance to the examiner. The exams are a sign of progression and achievement for the children. We do not put any pressure on the children for exams and try to make them feel they are showing off their skills to the examiner. EXAM LADDER -

We also have fun disco examinations and medal tests.
The most important thing about our exam sessions are that the children enjoy them and feel relaxed going into the exam, we do not want the children feeling any pressure from us or parents. We only enter the children if we are confident they will do well.
